The simpleLEASH® Story
First and foremost, we are dog lovers. Erika (pictured above with Louis and Tessa) had gone from dedicated dog owner to mom of three in a few short years. Life had become almost unmanageable, and walking the dogs had become a thing of the past. Her husband Jim had an idea. Together with his brother in-law Al they decided to make a better mouse trap, or in this case a better training collar.
Nothing had worked for us before the simpleLEASH®. We tried professional training, treat training, clickers, choke collars, those collars with the spiky things (that look really scary!), and the leader that goes over the nose. Our lovable hounds were up to the challenge of every one of them. There had to be a better way.
Why was it that we could train them to sit, stay, retrieve, and even stay inside our yard, and yet they continued to pull on their leashes? Well, one day it occurred to us. The key was to use the time tested technology of remote control training collars and yard containment systems, but do it in a novel way that makes it easy for our dogs to do the right thing.
